Many people suffer from lower back pain due to tight hamstrings. The most effective way to prevent a pulled hamstring or a hamstring strain is to properly perform hamstring exercises, lower body stretching exercises, and lower back exercises on a regular basis. This will greatly prevent one from experiencing hip pain, leg pain, and/or numbness in the legs and feet. Outlined in this video is a simple hamstring stretch to relieve lower back pain. I recommend performing 2-3 sets for 20-30 seconds on each side.
